MarketPlace: 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera Cabriolet 4.1L 6-Speed Custom

This 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera Cabriolet was acquired by the seller in July 2024 and has since been upgraded with a 911 40th Anniversary Edition–sourced flat-six equipped with the Exclusive X51 Power Kit and enlarged to a reported 4.1-liter displacement, paired with a replacement 6-speed manual transmission. Finished in Seal Grey Metallic over Black leather upholstery, it is equipped with 19” Carrera Classic wheels, heated Leather Sport Seats, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, and the Bose High-End Sound Package, and more. This Carrera is finished in Seal Grey Metallic with a black power-retractable soft top and rides on optional 19” Carrera Classic wheels. Additional equipment includes front fog lights, custom Morimoto LED exterior lighting, black brake calipers with white Porsche lettering, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. The tires were replaced in August 2025 and are said to have less than 300 miles of use. The seller notes a few minor paint chips measuring less than 1/16 of an inch. The Black interior was optioned with heated Leather Sport Seats, a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. A custom leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel has been installed, along with an aftermarket head unit featuring Apple CarPlay. The seller states the vehicle was acquired with an existing engine issue after metal and plastic debris were discovered in the oil pan, which was traced to a worn and faulty chain tensioner. As a result, a replacement flat-six engine was sourced from a 2004 Porsche 911 40th Anniversary Edition and rebuilt by a reputable Oregon-based shop, incorporating the desirable Exclusive X51 Power Kit and reportedly enlarged to a 4.1-liter displacement. At the same time, a replacement 6-speed manual transmission with approximately 22k miles was installed, along with an LN Engineering IMS bearing. Additional work reportedly performed includes the installation of a new clutch, new brake rotors and pads at all four corners, and replacement of the expansion tank due to a small pinhole crack. The car has also been upgraded with California CARB-approved Softronic software, along with an additional race software tune that can be selected via a handheld OBDII reader included in the sale. The seller adds that the Dyno test results revealed 400 HP and 350 lb-ft of torque at the crank, along with 342 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. This sale will include a clean title.
