2002 BMW M3 Convertible 6-Speed

This 2002 BMW M3 convertible was refinished in red in 2025 and is powered by a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six linked with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car has spent time in California and Nevada and was purchased by the current owner in 2013. The interior is trimmed in Gray Nappa leather, and other equipment includes the Cold Weather Package, heated Sport seats, 19″ M double-spoke Style 67 wheels, a black soft top, and Titan Shadow trim. Work in 2025 also reportedly included repairing the convertible top. This E46 M3 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with an accident-free Carfax report and a clean California title in the owner’s name. The car left the factory painted Imola Red (405), and the seller tells us that it was refinished in its current shade of red in 2025, while the mechanism for the black convertible top was also repaired at that time. Other equipment includes black kidney grilles, fog lights, and quad exhaust outlets. This is a relist after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in August 2026 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner’s participation on BaT has been restricted. The 19″ M double-spoke Style 67 wheels have curb marks and are mounted with Continental tires, which the seller notes show date codes of 2022 and 2023 in front and 2016 out back. The car was factory-equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and braking is provided by four-wheel ventilated discs. The heated power-adjustable front Sport seats are upholstered in Gray Nappa leather, and Titan Shadow trim accents the dash and door panels. Interior amenities include cruise control, a CD stereo, automatic climate control, and driver’s seat memory settings. The driver’s seat is worn and has a tear on the bottom. The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel features M-color stitching and frames a 185-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a variable redline along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The seller tells us that the instrument cluster was nonfunctional when the owner purchased the car, and it was subsequently replaced. It now shows 31k miles. A mileage inconsistency is also noted in the Carfax report in February 2022, and total mileage is unknown. The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was factory rated at 333 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, and sends power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Work in 2025 involved replacing the differential bushing in addition to performing engine oil, transmission, and differential fluid changes. The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage and notes the aforementioned mileage inconsistency as well as at least one open recall.
